Getting Started

Welcome to EspressoDesk: your first 15 minutes

Updated 2026-09-09

EspressoDesk gives your team one shared inbox for email and live chat, a knowledge base and a branded customer portal.

Start here:

  1. Finish the workspace setup and choose your workspace name and slug.
  2. Connect the mailbox your customers already write to, in Settings -> Email channel.
  3. Invite your agents in Settings -> Team.
  4. Install the live chat widget on your website, in Settings -> Live chat.
  5. Publish two or three knowledge base articles so the portal and the AI chatbot have something to work with.

Everything you do stays inside your workspace: tickets, contacts, articles and settings are never shared with other companies using EspressoDesk. Your 14-day trial starts the moment the workspace is created and needs no card.

Your first 15 minutes

  1. Minutes 1-3: create the workspace, set its name and slug, and upload your logo.
  2. Minutes 4-8: connect the mailbox that customers already write to, then send yourself a test message and watch the ticket arrive.
  3. Minutes 9-11: invite one colleague so you can try an internal note and see collision detection at work.
  4. Minutes 12-15: publish one knowledge base article and paste the chat widget snippet on your website.

What to do next

Write your first real reply from the inbox instead of from your mail client; that single habit is what keeps the whole history in one place. After that, look at automatic assignment, the auto-reply and your first automation rule, in that order.

Good to know

Nothing here is permanent: you can change the slug, the branding and the channels later, and your free trial gives you the full feature set while you decide.
