Why we don't accept temporary email addresses

Updated 2026-09-17

EspressoDesk asks every new account to register with a real work or personal email address. Addresses from disposable or temporary email providers (sometimes called "temp mail" or "10-minute mail") are rejected at sign-up with the message "Disposable or temporary email addresses are not allowed."

Why the restriction? The free 14-day trial includes the full product. Disposable inboxes make it easy to create endless throwaway trials and are a common source of spam and abuse, which would hurt the reliability of the service for everyone — including deliverability of the emails your workspace sends.

How it works:

  • The sign-up form checks the domain part of your address instantly, before you submit.
  • The same check runs again on our servers when your workspace is created, so it cannot be bypassed.
  • Blocked domains include well-known providers such as mailinator.com, tempmail.com and guerrillamail.com, plus a list our team maintains over time. Sub-domains of a blocked provider are covered too.
  • Only the domain is compared — we never inspect the content of your mailbox.

What to do if your address was rejected: simply register with your primary work or personal email. If you believe a legitimate domain was blocked by mistake, contact support@getespressodesk.com and we will review it.
